Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato production on the cards

By Updated on

The Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato was only limited to just one unit, but that may be about to change if we are to believe the latest news. We have reason to believe that Lamborghini could start a limited edition production run of the vehicle that is loosely based on the Gallardo.

It was great to see Zagato and Lamborghini come together for the limited edition 5-95 Zagato model, and even better now we know more will be made. Albert Spiess commissioned the one and only model, and so it is great to see his vision of a sensual design of nature and technology appreciated.

What makes the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato so great is its design, as it is not like other Lamborghini models, especially the front end. You have this strange extra piece of carbon fiber firewall that seems to obscure the front air intakes, instead of taking precedence.

Almost every aspect of this model has been changed to what we have come to expect from Lamborghini, and in some ways this is a good thing. We say this because over the years Lamborghini has become more outrageous in its design and for some this has become too predictable.

At least having the likes of Zagato on board, you know that things will be different, which you can clearly see in the images above.

Autocar was not able to tell us when the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato will enter production, how many they will produce and what its price will be, but we can tell you that the numbers will be limited to low figures and the cost will be high.
