The Forge of Empires Postmodern Era will be found on your tech tree in a couple of days time, May 28th, and this is thanks to update 1.27 taking place on that date. If you have been saving up Forge Points thanks to being at the top of the tree and having Great Buildings levelled up, then you’ll have something to spend FPs on this week thanks to the Postmodern Era tech tree.
There will be a number of rebalancing changes and bug fixes included with update 1.27. The Postmodern Era is set in the 1970s and 80s, so if you’re like us and maxed out the upgrades then you’re going to love the new units and buildings.
Just like the new eras of past, you will most likely spend some time replacing certain buildings with the 1970s/80s versions and upgrade to the latest battle units. This era also brings a new battlefield that will see the battles come in waves, which will include fighting the Minh-Ho Chi, Che Guerrero, and more. Commandos can be used in battle with a new skill for “Close Quarters” fighting.
The map will expanded as well, so you’ll now have a jungle-theme with 12 new provinces. New quests include 55 new abortable, 11 recurring, and 54 story quests that can’t be aborted. The story quests will match your style of game in a much better way than previously seen.
New buildings will allow gamers to create toys, cars, gain supplies by building a junkyard, and once you find the new blueprints you’ll be able to construct two new Great Buildings called The Habitat and Cape Canaveral. You will also be able to invent/research new technologies like genetics, modern electronics, and high society.
