Both Fallout 4 and Half Life 3 are searched for about the same each month and neither has received official confirmation, although we do wonder what Product Reviews readers would prefer to see confirmed in 2014? We last touched on Half Life 3 after seeing some trademark news in the latter part of 2013, although last week we heard from a former Valve employee claiming Half Life 3 is in development.
Most people would state that it’s no secret about Half Life 3 development and even Minh “Gooseman” Le himself thought everybody pretty much knew this, although we are yet to see Valve officially come out and make Half Life 3 confirmed. You can listen to the interview on Twitch with Counter-Strike’s father, but are his comments on Half Life 3 enough or would you really prefer something solid from Valve? With E3 2014 coming in a matter of days, we’re sure hope is building again for some sort of confirmation.
Half Life 3 interest – we’ve seen a lot of comments from gamers explaining this is their most desired game for 2014/2015 and one PR reader said, “If I could place a pre-order for Half Life 3 it would be better than having sex”. Another added, “I would give anything to see Half Life 3 gameplay, in fact everyone I spoke to that knows HL well agrees with this”.
Personally, we feel that if Half Life 3 was confirmed by Valve then it will be one of the biggest releases in the next couple of years. HL2 gave us such good times in gaming with creativity and ideas applied perfectly, great technology, and as one fan said, “the story erases boundaries between mediums”. We’re not alone in the desire to see some news on Half Life 3 at E3, or even at some point this year.
Fallout 4 desire for a reveal – as we mentioned above, it is clear Fallout 4 and Half Life 3 are both searched for around the same amount each month, although Fallout 4 is given a lot more hype than HL3. This is due to a lot of so-called leaks for Fallout 4, Pete Hines Twitter comments, and fakes being put up each month to build the hype around Fallout 4.
There’s also a lot of passionate Fallout 4 fans out there and some of the most wanted features include a really interesting protagonist, vehicles, a new game engine, an improved Karma system, lots of guns, dynamic quests that focus on quality over quantity, immersive leveling, and also expanded customization.
If the publisher/developer of each title were to confirm they were in development, or even tease with a video, what game would you prefer to see confirmed between Fallout 4 and Half Life 3? Leaks and some wild statements reveal both of these games are being developed, but we still need each title to be confirmed officially for the benefit of fans.
We’d love to hear if you’re a bigger fan of Fallout 4 or Half Life 3, and while we know Hines confirmed that no Fallout 4 news will arrive at E3, both titles have every chance of confirmation in 2014 at some point.
Below this article you can see a few videos that highlight just how desired both of these titles are. The first video looks at the most wanted Fallout 4 features, the second is a fan made Half-Life 3 cinematic trailer, and the final video talks about the Half-Life 3 waiting game.
