There’s a new Snapchat Android update for download with no release notes listed and all we have is the older What’s New list of changes. The new update date for Snapchat on Android is May 22, although users are still complaining about missing features like the lack of being able to clear your feed on Snapchat and hating the idea of a screenshot option to allow people to capture so-called secrets.
While it is true that when you leave a chat screen your messages will be cleared with both Snapchat names, it’s still possible to tap for a screenshot that can be saved locally on either Android device. Thanks to the lack of a new list of changes since May 22 we don’t know what improvements or problems have been fixed, so if you notice anything different since updating then please share a comment below.

Some users are fed up with the changes and lack of an easy clear Snapchat feed option, so they are looking to close their account and remove the app. One Product Reviews reader stated, “I am going to delete my Snapchat account and Android app, I loved the idea at first but now hate the fact an option is there to take screenshots but the developers didn’t want to give us an easy option to clear my Snapchat feed or even my score”.
What changes did you notice in the new Snapchat update for Android, and what should be changed in the next version?
We’ve also seen people complaining about receiving notifications fine, but then the “snaps don’t show up in app and a refresh don’t work”. Another added, “If snapchat is supposed to allow users to see things once only, then why allow users to screenshot whatever is on the screen? I also want a fix for random freezing, crashing, the ability to clear my Snapchat log, and I can’t take videos”.
Following our article on May 4th about the clear feed going missing in Snapchat with well over 100 comments, it looks like nothing has changed in the latest May 22nd update in relation to this and that change now looks permanent.
