The International Prize Pool for Dota 2 goal 13 is about to be hit and at the time of writing we note $5,793,349 has been raised. This is extremely impressive when you think that fund was at just over $4 million under a week ago, so this is a massive increase in just 6 days since our last article about Compendium 2014.
Most of you will know that Dota 2 goal 13 needs $6 million and the International Prize Pool goes up by $2.50 for each Compendium purchased, although some people can’t buy after having different issues. Problems are not common, but we do note this forum thread from just a few days ago in regard to the cart just refreshing the page. Another Product Reviews reader said, “I purchased the 2400 points package for the International Compendium 2014 and get many issues that include not being able to add points to my compendium and not able to select my predictions”.
Again, these are some of a few hundred issues we’ve seen but considering the amount of people taking part, it’s expected that some people will state “can’t buy Compendium” for one reason or another. If you still have problems through Steam, then we recommend you reach out and create a support ticket here.
Are you a Compendium owner? Goal 12 brought new Environmental Effects to the Dota map, and when goal 13 is unlocked it will grant an item to allow Compendium owners to customize a building in their base. You can see the current fund at dota2.com/international/compendium.
An interesting fact: In the time it has taken to create this article, the Prize Pool jumped from $5,793,349 to $5,794,331. This shows nothing is stopping the International Prize Pool and it will reach the $6 million target this week, and maybe within a matter of hours.
