2015 Ford F-150 production has one final hurdle

By Updated on

By now you should know that the 2015 Ford F-150 should begin production later this year, with its public release soon after. Before that there is one final hurdle to jump, and that is the renovation of the Dearborn Truck Plant, which is where the all-new F150 will be assembled.

The 2015 Ford F-150 will come with a host of new additions, with the aluminum body being the biggest talking point, but the Dearborn Truck Plant is to undergo a few changes as well in order to better prepare itself for the production of the upcoming next generation F-150.

That is not all, as Ford plans to renovate the Rouge factory tour along with the plant’s body shop, which is set to take place at the end of summer. Ford will need to work hard with these renovations if they want to start production of the 2015 F-150 as planned later this year.

According to Automotive News, Ford is to bring a host of new hands-on experiences to the tour, as well as films to highlight the many aspects of the new F-150.

While this might not appeal to some of you, we know there is a huge number of you who would like to see what goes into making the next-gen Ford F-150, as well as interact with a multimedia display. Unlike some other plant tours, all the family can enjoy this one, although the wife might need convincing.

If you would like to visit the Dearborn plant to see the production of the 2015 Ford F-150, then we believe the price will stay the same, which is $15 per person.
