2015 Ford F-150 price, specs, and MPG assumption

By Peter Chubb - May 19, 2014

The 2015 Ford F-150 is due to go on sale from the fall of this year and with it will bring a new age to the truck, even though some of you are sitting on the fence as to the all-new aluminum design. A lot is riding on this design, but we are sure Ford has done its homework so that the next generation F-150 is not only going to do better than previous generations, but will also be just as tough – well that is the hope.

Even though Ford has released some very important details in regard to the 2015 F-150, they seem to have omitted some of the most important factors, the price, detailed specs and last but not least MPG figures.

Ford states on their website that they will not be prepared to talk about the 2015 Ford F-150 price until closer to launch, and so we should not expect official pricing until late September at the earliest. However, when you consider that the 2015 F-150 King Ranch is expected to cost around $45,000, it gives you a general idea as to how much you will pay for some of the other models in the range.

The 2015 Ford F-150 specs is the most talked about topic of conversation with the next-gen model because it is what Ford has shared the most. We know that it is all change, from its chassis, body, engine, design and even interior. There is a fear that Ford has gone too radical and could have shot themselves in the foot, but then Ford understands they have to think out of the box in order to keep up and ahead of the competition.

2015 Ford F-150 price

While we have yet to learn of the full 2015 Ford F-150 specs, you can see a few of the main ones detailed on the Ford USA website, such as the aluminum frame and steel chassis, new engines, and some of the new technology. However, we won’t know more until closer to its release.

Many questions have been asked as to the overall 2015 Ford F-150 MPG figure, and again, Ford seem reluctant to share this information. They do say that this will be the most fuel-efficient version to date, but until the all-new F-150 completes its fuel efficiency certification process, we will just have to play the waiting game.

Most rumors would suggest a figure of around 30 MPG highway, which seems to be the magic number that trucks have aimed for, although none have ever achieved this. However, with the new F-150 being much lighter and with newer engines, there is a good chance that the 2015 model will reach the magic number, or even exceed it.

Do you believe that the 2015 Ford F150 will be just as competitive on pricing as the current model, its radical new design will get ppostvie reviews, and will be able to reach the magical 30 MPG figure
