Cheapest 4K TV price, affordability over quality

By Updated on

When the first flat screen LCD TV was launched, prices were a little high, then they went down as LED became the new thing to have at home, now consumers have 4K TV, but as you know prices have been rather high, which is very much the norm. There are some cheaper models out there, but we have now seen the Cheapest 4K TV price, and it is cheaper than you think.

The Xiaomi MI TV 2 4K television price is just CN¥3,999, which equates to $640. While it would be very easy to get too excited, we do have a fear that Xiaomi has traded affordability over quality, as we cannot see this Chinese made TV being up to the standard we are used to.

Okay, so we know that this is still a 4K TV, but that doesn’t mean it is good quality. We know that brands like Apple use China to assemble parts, but that does not mean those parts are inferior, and more often than not, quality is also high.

It is hard to believe that a 4K TV that costs the equivalent of $640 is going to use high-end parts, and that quality control is going to be of the highest priority.

Don’t get us wrong, it is nice to see Xiaomi offer consumers the chance to own the MI TV 2 for so little, which comes with a host of features such as built-in Android, 1.45GHz quad-core CPU, Mali-450 MP4 GPU, 2GB of RAM and built-in storage, as well as a Bluetooth LE remote, which is far better than an infrared one.

The release date for the Xiaomi MI TV 2 is May 27th in China, although we highly doubt there will be a worldwide release, although some of you might try to find other means in order to pick up the world’s cheapest 4K TV, maybe by importing it.
