Right now on Metacritic, we can see that the PS4 version currently has a Critic score of 63, but a higher user score of 7.1 from general gamers who have offered their personal opinions on the game.

While the score from ‘professional’ reviews are obviously not too great, Bound by Flame seems to be one of those games that perhaps needs to be fully enjoyed and is a game that is better than the reviews suggest.

We can also see that there are many 10/10 scores from users who compare the game with Dark Souls and say that Bound by Flame is also one of the more difficult RPGS that you can get hold of right now.

One review from VideoGamer scores the game a paltry 2/10, even going as far to say that it is ‘an embarrassment on all fronts’, which sounds a little harsh.

Do you agree with the criticism for this game, or do you agree that it needs to be fully played through and isn’t as bad as the reviews suggest? Let us know your thoughts if you have been playing the game – we’ve added some gameplay for you to check out below.
