People in the UK have already celebrated Mother’s Day, but for those of you in the US, you will not be celebrating this wonderful day until May 11th, 2014. There are so many ways in which you can celebrate all the things your mum has done for you, but what if you are a little younger and going out to buy a gift is out of the question?
Thankfully, there are ways for a child to give their mums a wonderful gift and that is by creating something with the personal touch, which we believe most mothers would prefer anyway.
Mother’s Day iOS, iPad apps ideal of this weekend – You guessed it, one of the best ways to give your mother a personal gift is by creating something with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. There are so many great apps to choose from, and so we have narrowed down a handful for you to consider.
Firstly, we have Photo Frames For Mother’s Day, which gives you the ability to create a card to your mum on your iOS device You can download a photo frame to go with your card to give it that extra special touch. You have the choice from hundreds of items, more than 50 frames, 300 stickers, 20 custom fonts and once you have finished you can then upload your creation to Facebook or Twitter.
The next app is Flower Garden – Grow Flowers and Send Bouquets, which has seen more than 15 million bouquets sent. With this app you can plant seeds virtually and then nurture the seed until it grows into lovely flowers. This app means you will never have to worry about rushing out and buying your mother a bunch of flowers. Okay, so we know this app is a bit of fun, but just think how much fun it is for young children, and the smile on their mother’s face when they present a beautiful bouquet of flowers they grew on their iPhone or iPad.
Our third app that we wish to show you is Happy Mother’s Day Video (Animated) Greeting Cards. What makes this app so great is that it helps to save the planet because you are not wasting paper by sending a Mother’s Day card, only to be thrown away a few days later, which means you are also giving Mother Nature a wonderful gift as well. What makes this app even better is that you will be able to send a card or video to other females in your family with children, all of which will cost you a one-off fee of $1.99.
Fourth on out list is Flowerly, which also allows you to send flowers virtually. Some of the apps main features include the option to send a range of free flowers, although you can find better ones if you purchase a premium bundle. You can then write a personal message on a choice of card templates and then send it via email or Facebook – not ideal if you are under 13, as you are not meant to have a Facebook account at that age.
Last but not least we have ScrapPad – Mothers Day Photo Journal. This is a perfect belated Mother’s Day gift because you can take photos of your mum on Sunday, May 11th and then add them to the app to create a wonderful journal. What makes this app even better, is that it can be used for other occasions as well, such as Easter and even Christmas.
