The ctOS Mobile App has a release date of May 27th, the same day as Watch Dogs, and what makes this companion app very different to others is how users will have the ability to use it within the Multiplayer part of the app. Others usually extend to the Single player mode instead.
Having the Watch Dogs ctOS Android and iPhone app release date the same as the game itself is great timing because it allows players to get more from the game, as well as their mobile device.
We already know so much about the console version of Watch Dogs, but we have not looked at the ctOS Mobile App yet, so we thought we would see what makes it one of the better companion apps for the likes of an Xbox or PlayStation game.
When using the Watch Dogs ctOS Mobile App on a tablet you have a great number of tricks up your sleeve when compared to the console version, such as the ability to send out police vehicles to stop a player’s progress. You can also take control of traffic lights, and if you manage to cause an accident while doing so, you can earn points.
The app has some other cool features that allow you to get even more from Watch Dogs, such as being able to design your very own custom challenges. Some people have questioned how fair this would be because it would be so easy for players to create a challenge that could be almost impossible to beat.
However, as these challenges will not count towards Notoriety, it doesn’t really matter if you fail these customized challenges time and again.
To give you a better idea of what you can expect from this companion app, we have a couple of videos for you to look at. The first runs for 10 minutes and is a hands-on look at the second screen ctOS Mobile App for Watch Dogs. The second video runs for 10:29 and is footage of the Watch Dogs ctOS mobile app gameplay.
