Just when most Pokemon fans thought that Nintendo would be unleashing a Pokemon Z release date at E3 2014, Game Freak has surprised everyone with a move that nobody saw coming at all.
Pokemon Z won’t release in 2014, that has now been confirmed. There will be a follow-up to Pokemon X and Y though and it is going to be a ‘reimagining’ of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.

The official title of the games will be Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Nintendo nor Game Freak hasn’t said much on either game, other than offering a short reveal trailer suggesting that full details will come during E3 2014.
We do know that the game will feature a ‘speculatular new world’, but other than that no information is given. It’s going to be a 3DS game, so we can only assume that the remakes will feature similar graphics to what we see with the Pokemon X and Y engine right now.
I held out for Pokemon Z boy don't I feel silly

Going back to Pokemon Z though, how many of you feel slightly silly after believing all of the hype and speculation that Zygarde was going to star in Pokemon Z?
Obviously there is still a good chance that we will see Zygarde as the main star in Pokemon Z, but now we know that this won’t happen at least until 2015.
The Zygarde rumors will probably die down now but let’s hope that the project is still not dead and buried as most will agree that there’s still plenty of unanswered Pokemon X and Y secrets.
does this mean there will be no Pokemon Z? or will it be released after the remakes like Emerald was released after FireRed/LeafGreen?

What is your initial reaction to Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire as remakes from the original games? Are you supporting this bold move by Nintendo or were you really hoping to see Pokemon Z as the next game?
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will both release sometime in November 2014.
