Destiny PS4 beta release date update

By Updated on

While we are looking forward to seeing Destiny news at E3 2014, we have some fantastic details to share with those on PS3 and PS4. Most of you should know that Activision has made a surprise partnership with Sony on the game, meaning that the Destiny PS4 and PS3 beta will arrive first before Xbox One and Xbox 360 users get it.

Previously, we didn’t know when the beta would arrive with many speculating that it would launch sometime in Summer. Now though it has just been made official, as a recent Activision conference call has revealed that the Destiny beta release date for PS4 and PS3 will take place sometime in July.

Unfortunately, there is no specific date yet but remember that this could be revealed at Sony’s E3 2014 press conference – in fact we would be surprised if it didn’t.

Do not forget that the beta was originally expected to be available in Spring 2014, but was delayed by Bungie. It seems that most gamers have seen this as a positive though as it only can mean that Bungie has extra time to ensure that Destiny lives up to the hype.

We’ve seen Titanfall release since the Destiny announcement, while another Call of Duty game is on the way too. Does Destiny have the potential to beat them all and be the definitive shooter series for the years to come?

Let us know if you will be playing close attention to the beta this July.
