Mortal Kombat 10 at E3 2014 hype

By Updated on

Are you ready to see a next-gen version of Mortal Kombat on PS4 and Xbox One? Most fighting fans will agree that Mortal Kombat 9 was an awesome game and the kind of reboot from an classic series that was done the right way.

MK9 was a game that released back in 2011 though and with NetherRealm Studios being very quiet on the new game front as of late, speculation is increasing that we could be seeing Mortal Kombat 10 at E3 2014.

What we can tell you, is that NetherRealm Studios are definitely planning to announce something big at E3 2014. Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon has been teasing this very announcement, as he’s now began counting down to June 2 when the reveal will be made.

Evidence of this can be seen with the Tweet below, in cryptic format asking followers for the square root of 841, to which the answer is 29. His follow up Tweet the day after was the number of days in a leap year in February, which is 28 – so you get the idea of where he is going with this.

Don’t forget the very important additional piece of evidence in this mystery as well. We told you here that actor Kiefer Sutherland, aka the new Solid Snake has already slipped out that he will be voicing a character in the next Mortal Kombat game.

Putting this and Ed Boon’s clues together suggests that a new Mortal Kombat is on the way. Assuming that this is the case, let us know what you would like to see from the first Mortal Kombat next-gen game. Surely Animalities and Brutalities have to be included this time around?

Either way, we can’t wait! Classic memories having to enable blood on the Game Gear version of the game.

I am SO glad that MK10 is coming! I really hope they make the characters look realistic how they used to look, but BETTER. :) Also, I hope that they used Kiefer to speak throughout the matches like the 1st MKs. (ie: “Well Done!” “Excellent”, etc.) That was missing in the last one.

My little suggestions: More than one X-Ray move for each character, the feel of the game to be darker (goth-like), different damaging done to costumes (not the same as in MK9) and more stages. :) I HOPE IT’S GOING TO BE @ E3 ’14!!!
