Clash of Clans bogus gem hack claims endure

Popular social sharing websites are running wild with apparent ways to offer a Clash of Clans gem hack, although today we wanted to highlight that many of these claims are simply bogus and shouldn’t be trusted. After receiving feedback from Product Reviews readers, we saw the need to highlight what many mobile gamers already know thanks to a number of our readers being tricked into scams, which you might find featured in videos on YouTube.

Clash of Clans gems are a currency like found in many other games, including Forge of Empires diamonds, and they allow players to advance faster by spending real world money. Understandably, a lot of people don’t want to part with real money and try to hunt down ways to gain Clash of Clans gems with a hack and no survey, but it’s fair to say that most people will only find bogus glitch claims or an online generator that does nothing. The people behind these gem hacks might want to cheat you out of money, so we warn readers to be very sceptical when reading about such offers.

We haven’t found a real Clash of Clans gem hack to date – unlike Forge of Empires, Clash of Clans is an app for Android and iPhone that could be hacked under the right circumstances, so this means there’s more of a chance to get free gems than finding free diamonds in Forge of Empires. With that said, we have looked at many of the claims online and found nothing real to date. All the services we’ve seen claim to offer a free hacking tool and want some money upfront first, or get you to take a survey, so again be warned that certain services might try to trick you.

YouTube is plagued by videos with so-called free Clash of Clans gems – this mobile app wouldn’t be the first to gain hundreds of videos on YouTube with false claims, although it is clear to see that there’s a problem with Clash of Clans gem hack videos being uploaded to YouTube in massive numbers. As you can see in the screenshot above and via this YouTube link, there’s a lot of videos stating they reveal a “working Clash of Clans gem hack for 2014″. Some of these videos have thousands of likes, which again only confuses the app user.

We’d love to hear from Product Reviews readers in relation to the videos found on YouTube, have you tried any of the methods being featured on Google’s video sharing website? If so, were you tricked by the video author or did they actually deliver what you wanted without parting with real world money? Share your thoughts below.

It also amazes us how fast these videos are being shared on YouTube, and some have only just landed in the last 24 hours with a few going live just minutes ago. If you just want a good way to build a Clash of Clans level 8 defense, then watch the video below our earlier article.
