The new Peugeot 108 has now been given its start price and from what we can see, it is very similar to its rivals. Prices for the all-new 108 start at £8245 in the UK, which is the same as the Citroën C1. We are not that shocked since they are based on the same platform.
There are to be four Peugeot 108 trim levels, these will be the Access, Active, Allure and Feline, although there is another model, which will be called 108 TOP, this is because it being a convertible.
Main Peugeot 108 features for 2014 include remote central locking, six airbags for improved safety, steering wheel controls and two rear child seat mounts. That’s not all, as there are some great new Peugeot 108 interior additions, such as MirrorLink technology for connecting to Android or iOS devices, AirCon, and DAB radio.
If you want a bit more luxury, then we suggest going for the Peugeot 108 Feline model, as this is top of the range and comes with leather upholstery and dual zone air conditioning for improved comfort. Starting price for this trim level is £11,845.
Autocar has also learned that the Peugeot 108 TOP will cost from £10,345, which comes with an electrically controlled fabric retractable roof, which can be personalized in a choice of three colors. To help match the color of the body, there are eight choices on offer.
Even though the new Peugeot 108 will be similar to the Toyota Aygo and Citroën C1 because they will be built side-by-side, they do differ in key areas, they do look different visually inside and out. As we said, price wise they are very similar, so it will be interesting to see who does the best in terms of marketing.
