When you are at home or in your small studio playing on your guitar there are often times when you come up with a unique rift, but the problem here is that by the time you set up your recording equipment you forget what it is you have just created.
Thankfully, the Gibson Memory Cable puts an end to such frustration because it is the coming together of a standard piece of equipment, the guitar cable along with a digital audio recorder.
The beauty of this Gibson Memory Cable is that it isn’t that much larger than a standard guitar cable; this is thanks to its built-in recorder being of the Solid State variety. All you need to do is plug one end into the guitar and the other into an amp; this also works with keyboards.
According to Gibson, you are able to get around 8 hours of use from standard AA batteries, which isn’t bad, but just make sure you have a spare set of batteries to hand. The length of the cable is 5 meters, or 16 feet and like we said above, is a very compact product.
Operating the cable is said to be very easy, which you can find more details on by visiting the official Gibson website. The Gibson Memory Cable price is $99, which isn’t bad when you consider the benefit of having one.
As for the Gibson Memory Cable availability, you will be able to get your hands on one of these from May 15th, 2014 in the US. There is no word on when the UK release will be, although we do hope it will not be long after our US cousins get it.
