The mobile world seems to have gone crazy about keeping fit, and as a result there are more wearable devices that need to connect to smartphones and tablets. The Moves app is a fine example of this, and an update was released on Android and iOS, and it seems as if there are a few problems based on user reviews.
What’s new for Moves in version 2.6.3? This isn’t a huge update, so we would not get too excited, but we can tell you that there is new data Export. This allows you to download data as a ZIP, along with an update to the Help section – we told you not to get enthusiastic.
The overall user review rating for Moves is 4, but we can’t help worry that there are a number of Android users complaining about poor battery life following this latest update. It is a shame because the rest of the app is impressive but that battery drain is a problem for some of you, and we can understand why.
Having said that, there have been several comments that suggest the app is very buggy, now we do not know if this is after the update, or if Moves already had this issue and ProtoGeo failed to rectify the issue?
One of the biggest issues we have found with this app is how the GPS has to be always on, this is not only a privacy issue, but also one of the reasons why this app is so power hungry.
If you have this app downloaded, we would love to know what your thoughts are.
