Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed update improvement

By Updated on

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for iOS and Android has now been made completely free thanks to its latest update, which also improves the game socially. It is nice when the likes of Sega makes a gaming app free, although it is a kick in the teeth for those who previously purchased it.

However, as a way to make it up to those who previously purchased Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Sega will give you a VIP Pass to the value of $4.99, which gives you four playable characters and will also be ad-free.

Another difference with the latest Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed update, is how the latest version 2.0 for Android and iOS now allows you to record and share video clips of your best gameplay, which is thanks to Everyplay.

Having said that, players have noticed that the app is more stable thanks to a few fixes that reduces crashing. Controller support has also been improved, although not sure this is the best area that Sega could have focused on.

Now that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has received a new update, players are now able to enjoy the game on their iPads, as there were a few issues with performance. Nexus 7 owners are also happy that the tilt control has been fixed.

That being said, it is obvious that the best part of the update is that the app is now free, and so this will help with its popularity and in time will lead to more regular updates.
