Crash Bandicoot on PS Vita early

By Updated on

It looks like PlayStation Now has launched somewhat a little prematurely, either that or Sony has launched some PS Vita content very early and ahead of E3 2014. Some PS Vita owners have been able to download a vast library of PS1 classics to their system, including the long awaited Crash Bandicoot.

Crash Bandicoot has been a massive request on PS Vita, but also a HD remake as well so that Crash Bandicoot on PS4 can be downloaded from the PS Store.

Now it looks like Sony are ready to grant one of those wishes soon, by making the entire Crash Bandicoot PS1 collection available as PS1 classics on the PS Store. Watch the video below and you’ll see gameplay evidence of this, showing that users were recently able to download these classics from the store.

As far as we’re aware, this was made in error on Sony’s part and the Crash titles as well as other PS1 classics have been removed from the PS Store.

Common sense tells us that Sony is testing this feature ahead of a Summer announcement, but accidentally uploaded the entire PS1 library, as well as PSP games onto the PS Store earlier this week.

Let us know if you acted quick and were able to download some of these games before they were removed. Do you think it is connected to the upcoming PlayStation Now service?
