Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet US release date and price

We have some great news for those of you who have been patiently waiting for Sony to announce a confirmed Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet US release date and price. The company has now come up with the goods and we can tell you that you’ll be able to buy Sony’s latest tablet at the start of next month.

The upgraded Xperia Z2 is already available to buy in Europe, with Sony maintaining their electronics tradition by releasing in America after Europe. Those of you who have used the Xperia Z1 Tablet will know just how beautiful it is to use and hold in the hand.

Now, the revised model is ready to launch in the US, with Sony announcing a final price of $499. This is going to be for the 16GB model, while if you are looking for more storage, a 32GB Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet will be available for $599.

It’s important to note that these prices relate to WiFi models only, as Sony has given no indication if and when Xperia Z2 Tablet LTE models will be available, unfortunately.

Just as a recap, the Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with an upgraded quad-core 2.3Ghz Snapdragon 801 processor, with 3GB of RAM, a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 display, an 8.1 megapixel rear camera and a 6,000 mAh battery.

Like the original model, the Xperia Z2 Tablet is also fully waterproof and remains one of the thinnest tablets you can buy on the market today at just 0.25 inches or 6.4mm.

The official Xperia Z2 tablet release date is May 4 in the US. You’ll be able to choose from two colors, either black or white so let us know if you are interested in getting one next month.
