We have not really discussed POF as often as our readers would like, but since Plenty of Fish was down recently, it made us realize just how passionate people are about the service. This made us wonder just how often these problems occur, which then led us to take a look at the iPad app.
It would seem that all is not well for the Plenty of Fish app for iPad because it is clear looking at the reviews that the app is in need of fine-tuning in order to rectify a few problems.
Plenty of Fish problems with the iPad app – One of the comments on iTunes is rather interesting because it has been suggested that POF is unable to grasp distance. This is because there are some cases where the app says that a place is a certain distance from another, when clearly the distance is much further.
The app keeps telling people they are several miles from where they actually are, in one case a person was told he was 100 miles from where he lived. This has resulted in the person having to mess with his search settings in order to compensate.
Another problem with the Plenty of Fish iPad app is having to sign in all the time, instead of keeping you signed in.
However, one of the biggest issues is if you have spent time writing a long note within the app to someone, only for an error message to come up that the email was not sent. This means you will lose what you had wrote, surely it would be better for the app to save what you have wrote?
These are just a few issues with the POF − Free Online Dating for iPad app, but we know there are more so please share them with us.
