iOS 7.1.1 update to go live soon

By Updated on

Although many Apple fans are patiently awaiting the arrival of the iOS 8 update release date, we have some interesting news to tell you about what could be coming next. Whispers have emerged suggesting that Apple is ready to offer an iOS 7.1.1 update to fix bugs before iOS 8 lands.

While iOS 8 is not expected to come until later on this year, it looks like the iOS 7.1.1 update download is ready to go live in days, rather than weeks.

This information has come courtesy of 9To5Mac who state that they have evidence to suggest that Apple are preparing to launch the update behind the scenes, with test devices already running iOS 7.1.1.

Unfortunately, there is no information as of yet on what the iOS 7.1.1 update notes could entail, but obviously we can expect to see some bug fixes as with every update.

Many of our readers at Product-Reviews have also been very keen to discuss what they would like to see in the iOS 7.1.1 update for iPhone and iPad. From what we have collected though, the biggest request is once again improved battery life on iOS 7.1.1 – an area which many still believe Apple needs to improve on.

We wouldn’t be surprised if we see iOS 7.1.1 going live at some point next week. If you have been having problems with your current iOS 7.1 build, let us know if iOS 7.1.1 is essential for you.
