There are many ways to help improve your basketball game, but the more traditional way is for a coach to watch carefully as you do your thing around the court. However, this is a slow process, and it’s easy for the coach to miss something. It is for this very reason why a new Kickstarter project aims to do away with the human element.
Hoop Tracker is a smartwatch for basketball players, and has the ability to track your movements in real-time. There are three key things to this new project, the first is the watch itself, second is the detector and third, software.

The Hoop Tracker real-time smartwatch has to be worn on your non-shooting arm, while the shot detector has to be attached magnetically to the rim of the basket. Finally, there is the software that is able to gather all the collected data and then present it in a way that gives you all that important information.
You can dissect your progress with other players and you can even share it on Facebook or Twitter. The Hoop Tracker system can be purchased from as little as $99, which as you know will only be released if funding is reached.
With just 17 days to go, only $35,426 has been pledged of its $100,000 target. More details of this can be found on the Kickstarter website or on the video we have included below.
