The Apple TV is a lot like the iPhone and iPad in many ways because it runs on iOS, and as such means the home screen is dominated by apps. You don’t have to be a fan of Apple to admire the simplicity of having these staring right at you, as it makes it far easier to find what you need.
From the moment Apple TV was launched there have been apps, and while they were limited in numbers, the choice has grown so that the TV screen is filled with various apps. The ones that are available vary depending on where you live in the world, but no matter where you live, it would be nice for even more choice.

Apple TV apps coming soon – This most recent app to find its way to Apple TV is ACC Sports, but finding what apps will be coming soon is not as easy as you would think. In order to find this out you have to do some digging around on Google and Bing.
What Apple could really do with is a new coming soon list on Apple TV. While this might not be all that important at the moment, just think how useful it would be if the 2014 Apple TV was to offer gaming?
If gaming was going to be an option on the 4th generation Apple TV, then a coming soon list is a must, otherwise people would not be able to prepare for an upcoming release.
We learned back at the start of the year that a major update to Apple TV was already being tested, and with it will bring a new feature called Game Store, which will obviously have its very own app. As for the design of the next model, we’ve already seen a few concepts where they look very much like an iPhone 5S design, albeit in the shape and similar size to the current Apple TV.
Speaking of the next Apple TV, there are reports that a future model could sport a camera and gesture control, which does seem to point towards the set-top box being targeted towards gaming. This could also allow owners to use services like FaceTime and other such apps.
Anticipating the 4th-gen Apple TV release – Apple could still leave us waiting until next year for an all-new Apple TV, but it is highly possible to see it unveiled during WWDC in a few months time.
