It looks like we may have the news that a lot of you have been waiting to hear. The Last of Us PS4 release date could be happening in Summer 2014 after an apparent slip up by Sony Turkey. So far Naughty Dog has been silent on the matter, but it could be their ‘big announcement’ that they have been teasing recently.
Many fans have been hoping to hear this news ever since the PS4 launched, but now it looks like Naughty Dog are finally ready to cash in. A PS4 version of The Last of Us has seemingly been confirmed by PlayStation Turkey vice president Sercan Sulun during a television interview this week.
When asked if we would see a The Last of Us 2 game, he apparently said this in a translation provided by Neogaf:
“No, sequel is not coming right now as far as I know but I can say that first game will be released this summer for PS4 as a physical and digital copy, with enchanced graphics.”
As far as we’re aware, that is the best confirmation that we have had on The Last of Us PS4 so far. Naughty Dog has not yet confirmed this rumor, but we have a feeling that they may have to now seeing as Sony’s Turkey exec has been a bit naughty.
Presuming the game is coming, we also assume that it will be packaged with 1080p native visuals as standard, as well as come bundled with the Left Behind DLC as well.
It would be a logical move to happen, so there shouldn’t be too much surprise over this. If you are hoping to play The Last of Us on PS4 and are willing to buy the game – give us your reaction to this.
