Amazing Spider-Man 2 PS4, Xbox One graphics may impress

PS4 and Xbox One gamers may be getting stuck into Infamous Second Son and Titanfall respectively at the moment, but one game coming out soon which may have slipped under the radar is the Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Once again, Activision will release a game based on the upcoming movie of the same name and once again it will be developed by Beenox, who previously handled games such as Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions.

Like previous games, you’ll be pleased to hear that Amazing Spider-Man 2 is going to be an open world game. Even better, the first gameplay has been released and it actually looks very impressive.

You’ll be even more surprised when we tell you that the early footage revealed below is from the Xbox 360 version, along with the lovely animation that we have also provided for you.

With this in mind, we could be seeing the PS4 and Xbox One versions gain an increased following now that it is looking very likely that next-gen graphics could be worth waiting for. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is due out at the end of April, just a few days before the movie lands in theatres.

We grew up on games such as Separation Anxiety on the SNES and the excellent Spider-Man game on the PS1. We still think there hasn’t been any truly great Spider-Man games since this time, but we remain very hopeful of this latest effort.

Take a look at the footage and let us know what you think of the graphics potential for PS4 and Xbox One versions. Are you surprised that the game looks so good considering this is Xbox 360 footage?

what the hell these graphics are looks like ps2 graphics.

  • Emo-Parker

Graphics look like total sh!t, and the combat is complete crap, clunky and uninspired. Game is garbage.

Forget separation anxiety, maximum carnage was way better. And the super Nintendo cartridge was red which was totally cool.

RockSteady should take over this IP since they’re done with Batman now (assumingly anyway…). But I’ll wait to see what the X1 version looks like before going after it. Could be fun to play, but price will definitely matter given most movie inspired games are garbage.

    That’s a tough stereotype to break through…
