We have a quick heads-up to all PS3 and PS4 gamers now, as we can confirm that Sony is again preparing to take the PSN down today in another bout of maintenance. Fortunately though, we can also tell you that you’ll still be able to play the likes of Call of Duty, GTA V and Battlefield 4 online as long as you remain signed in.
Firstly, if you are planning to play games online today, we highly recommend you to log in to PSN now. Otherwise in a few hours, several aspects of the PSN will be down and you may not be able to play your favorite games online.
Confirmed services that will get the chop include the PS Store, Account Management and PlayStation Home. The official maintenance time for PSN going offline on Monday March 10 is 4.30pm – 10pm UK time, or 8.30am to 2pm Pacific Time or 11.30am – 5pm for those on Eastern Time.
That means that if you don’t want to risk not playing online for 5 hours today, we suggest you sign into PSN as soon as possible to avoid any problems.

For those asking, Netflix streaming should still be working as normal during the maintenance as long as you are signed in, so that’s refreshing to hear.
As far as we can see, Sony has given no details on what they actually intend to fix during the 5 hour maintenance – feel free to correct on this though if you know something.
Is it too much to ask for some new third-party PS4 apps we wonder?
