The larger 13.3 inch laptop offers a full HD 1920 x 1080 display, with an ARM-based 2.1GHz processor and the same RAM and storage of the smaller Chromebook. Both laptops feature a 720p webcam and battery which will power the device for up to 8.5 hours for each charge. The bigger model will be available in the same colors but with the added option of Titan Grey, priced at $399.99.
Samsung has announced that the Chromebook 2 series laptops will be available to buy in April, a full release date should be confirmed shortly. It terms of the prices Samsung has set, they are quite appealing when compared to Windows 8.1 products, which could have a factor on sales despite the medium strength specs which can be seen in full here.
These new Chromebooks will be more expensive than the previous ones as you would expect, but in general the Series 2 laptop will be reasonably priced compared to market rivals. How do you think Samsung’s Chromebook effort compares against those from the likes of HP?
