COD players frustrated by no zombies in 2014 may have their pain eased by the news that a new Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army game is on the way. Developer Rebellion is planning to unleash their popular zombie game on console, after the previous titles proved successful.
Rebellion’s Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army released a year ago and has sold over 500,000 copies, which is good considering they are an independent developer. The zombie game was released as a spin off to Sniper Elite V2, according to CVG. You can download both games now on Steam and the Rebellion games store to celebrate the sales milestone.
Activision announced that the Call of Duty title for this year would be developed by Sledgehammer, meaning Treyarch who run the zombies element of the game will not release their title until 2015. A large majority of players buy the game for its zombies content, so hopefully this new Sniper Elite game will give them something to get their teeth stuck into until next November.
It will be great to see a new Nazi Zombie game come to console as it will provide extra competition to the horror games we have out already. If Rebellion get the job done properly, it may offer a real alternative to players that are so dependent on Call of Duty: Zombies. Will you be playing Sniper Elite whilst you wait for COD 2015?
