The highest of the group is the Nissan GT-R Track Edition, which has an average annual insurance premium of around $3,169 according to Insure.com.

The BMW M6 Coupe is estimated around $3,065, the Mercedes-Benz CL550 4Matic for $3,109, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT for $2,986 and the Porsche Panamera Turbo S for $2,970. At sixth spot the Audi R8 5.2 Spyder Quattro averages around the $2,917 mark, while the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG could set you back $2,887.
The last three on the list include the Audi A8L 6.3 Quattro for $2,869, the Jaguar XK/XKR Supercharged for $2,610/$2,854 and the Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG for $2,609. In addition, living in certain territories can add to your insurance premiums and the aforementioned site also lists 10 of the most expensive states from another survey conducted by Insure.com.
You could be paying an average of $2,551 to insure your car in Michigan while West Virginia ($2,518), Georgia ($2,201) and Washington, D.C. ($2,217) are all in the top four. Then we have Rhode Island ($2,020), Montana ($2,013), Louisiana ($1,971) and California ($1,962) with New Jersey ($1,905) and Florida ($1,830) featuring in ninth and tenth spot.
We understand the car insurance rates are based on a motorist’s driving record and other aspects like age, gender and so forth, but it seems some vehicles are inherently costlier than others.
