ColorWare expands PS4 color options

By Updated on

For those of you desiring more PS4 color options, ColorWare has announced they are now offering customization for the next gen console. ColorWare for Sony PS4 allows you to choose from a variety of beautiful mixed designs, making your PlayStation 4 unique and stylish.

ColorWare work their magic by putting the PS4 through an intensive labor process which involves disassembly, cleaning, masking, painting and then inspection. Once the PS4 has been checked and is up to standard, the parts are reassembled and put back into the original packaging.

On each PlayStation 4 unit there are 3 parts that can be customized, the base and either side of the top. The controller can be painted 2 different colors, one for the entire body and a separate one towards the bottom of the hand grips and back.

Once you have chosen your own design, ColorWare will take 3 weeks to build and ship your order costing $749. The company will provide everything so you do not have to go out and worry about purchasing the console separately.

Alternatively if you already own a PS4, you can send your console away to the company for a custom makeover, which will cost $249 and ship between 2 and 3 weeks. You will have to purchase the matching controller for $109 however as ColorWare does not offer a send in service for Dualshock 4.

PS4-Color-Green

ColorWare has already offered this service for the Xbox One, it is great that PS4 users now too can have this experience if they want it. Will you be giving your PS4 this unique treatment or are you happy with its default all black color?
