Are you still getting frustrated going through endless pages of marketing spam that is making your daily Gmail login session a nightmare? If the answer is yes, you are going to be pleased to hear that Google is again planning to make changes to make your experience a less stressful one.
No matter how much you try to maintain your Gmail email account, one lapse in concentration is all it takes for your Gmail inbox to get clogged up with junk and emails that mix in with the important stuff that you can sometimes miss in the midst of the jungle.
It’s been an age-old issue on Gmail, with no light at the end of the tunnel. Fortunately, that’s about to change over the next few weeks, as we have confirmation from Google that they will be making it much easier for consumers by rolling out an official Gmail unsubscribe button.
It may not be live for you yet, but take a look specifically at the header section of an unwanted email. You may see the new unsubscribe button directly to the right of the sender.
It is different for us at the moment though, as we have noticed that the unsubscribe button can be activated by clicking the drop down arrow below the sender highlighted with ‘show details’ – you can see our screenshot showing this information above.
It’s nice to see Google trying to combat this ancient problem, as we have heard from Google software engineer Vijay Eranti, who has said recently:
“One of the biggest problems with the Gmail spam filter is identifying unwanted mail or soft spam. We want to empower users with an easy way to control what they want to receive.”
