The forthcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor from World of Warcraft has been confirmed to have restricted skills with the level 90 boosters allowing players to boost one character to this level and take part in all the new content. Additionally, gamers can also pay $60 to boost more characters.

We can understand how many enthusiasts will be concerned about unfair progression but Ion Hazzikostas gives us the impression some penalties will be experienced for those using the short cut. Lead encounter designer Ion Hazzikostas discusses this with Eurogamer, as he mentions a structured process for Boosted characters as they actually lock and restrict their abilities.

He highlights a boosted mage that starts with just a polymorph, fireball, and frost nova on their bar, allowing gamers to continue to level and get experience past 90 whilst unlocking them along the way. This is done in similar fashion to the deathknight progress, which will make sure players understand how to experience their class at max level.

According to a report on Eurogamer Warlords of Draenor is built on ten years of experience and has been regarded as “streamlined yet familiar,” and gamers can see his comments about releasing content too quickly and how the game intends to welcome players back here. What is your opinion on the level 90 boosters?
