It seems that the LEGO franchise is becoming prominent once again and after the release of the movie and game we thought any other LEGO orientated products would be put aside during the promotion of this. However, those of you who enjoyed their take on The Lord of the Rings title may be wondering when The Hobbit will appear in the yellow brick form.
According to reports emerging on the web, fans of the LEGO game franchise will be able to revisit Middle Earth this April as Warner Bros. has recently confirmed this to Eurogamer. LEGO: The Hobbit has been given a release date of the 11th April by publisher Warner Bros. and will be available on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One and 360 as well as the 3DS, Wii U, Mac and PC, giving LEGO fans a large choice of platforms to play on.
The game intends to follow the first two films in the Hobbit trilogy and when it comes to details of the gameplay mechanics, from what we have heard each of the dwarves will be playable, although their control can be combined in specific scenarios to deliver more powerful attacks.
Apparently, there is a new loot system where varied materials can be crafted into new items, and below this post we have embedded the announcement trailer. Bear in mind, this game only focuses on two films in the trilogy, we are intrigued whether added DLC will coincide with the release of the final film. Would you like to see a whole new game arrive once the next film is made?
