Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes rewards Phantom Pain DLC

Players of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will be rewarded with Phantom Pain DLC once it is released. Konami has confirmed that early purchasers of Ground Zeroes will will be able to unlock a variety of benefits for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain further down the line.

For a limited period of time, anyone who buys Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes on PS4 or Xbox One will be able to get an exclusive Phantom Pain DLC voucher. This deal applies to both physical and digital purchases, CVG reports that Konami has already reduced the price of the boxed retail versions of Ground Zeroes which arrives on March 18th.

Another great reason to upgrade to The Phantom Pain when you have finished with Ground Zeroes is that you can transfer prisoners of war and VIPs you have rescued from one game to the other. Any characters you transfer will join the Mother Base staff and any unlocked character skins will also be moved over.

Konami has also detailed some second-screen features for Ground Zeroes via an iDROID app, which will be available for free on iOS, Android, and Smart Glass platforms. The interactive feature will allow players to call air support, search maps, and play cassette tapes found around the environment.
