Xbox One price cut in UK, PS4 still waiting

We have some surprising news to bring you now, as Microsoft has just confirmed within the hour that an Xbox One price cut in UK is going live soon. It won’t be a massive Xbox One price drop truth be told, but it does appear to be perfect timing for those thinking of buying a console just for the incoming Titanfall release date.

We can tell you that the console has been cut in the UK by £30. It means that the new Xbox One price as of February 28 will be £399 and there is a further treat in store for everyone too.

We can also confirm that this price will include a free digital copy of Titanfall in the box whilst stocks last. It means for the £399 price, you’ll get an Xbox One console, a Kinect camera, Titanfall, an Xbox One headset, one wireless controller and a 30-day trial of Xbox Live.

It sounds like a fantastic offer for those that patiently waited for an Xbox One price drop in UK to happen, but at the same time questions are likely to be asked.

As of yet, there is no word on an Xbox One price cut for US consumers, while those who bought the console at launch may be wondering what they will receive from Microsoft in exchange for their loyalty.

Those who bought at launch may not be happy to see that Titanfall is being offered for free, whilst Sony will obviously be an interesting spectator seeing their rivals cut the price of Xbox One so early.

At the moment, you can pick up a PS4 in the UK for a cheaper price of £349, but this doesn’t come with a game included and there’s no PS4 camera in the box remember.

What is your reaction to this? Do you think Sony will start to offer a better deal for new PS4 buyers after seeing Microsoft make new changes? For those that already have an Xbox One, are you a bit disappointed that you’ll be getting nothing?
