Titanfall pre-load release time on Xbox One

By Alan Ng - Feb 22, 2014

We have some excellent news for those of you who are looking to pick up the digital version of Titanfall on Xbox One. We have confirmation that a Titanfall pre-load will be available, allowing users to download the game files early and play as soon as the clock strikes midnight on launch day.

Pre-loads are always fun and we usually see it happening for most big name Steam releases on PC. Now though, Xbox One users can join in on the fun, but there is a potential heads-up for those on Eastern Time.

The Titanfall pre-load on Xbox One will be available in the coming days and the Titanfall file size will be a whopping 15.88GB download. Here’s the important part though, as you can only start playing the game on March 11 at 12.01 Pacific Time.

It means that those on Eastern Time will be able to play the game at 3am at the earliest. If you have the option of picking up a physical copy at a Titanfall midnight launch, then this may be a better option for you if you don’t want to wait until 3am.

At the moment, there is no confirmation on a Titanfall PC pre-load, but we expect this to become available otherwise it would be rather unfair to those buying the game on PC – the supposed lead platform.

Let us know if you plan to pick up the digital version and your excitement on being able to pre-load the game to play at the earliest opportunity.

Is all of the Titanfall hype justified in your opinion after playing the beta?

UPDATE: Well, shock horror. Microsoft has turned around and said that actually, there will be no Titanfall pre-load on Xbox One after all, we wonder what has happened behind the scenes.
