Fitbit Force 2 demanded following recall

The wearable devices that are attached to your wrists have been gaining a huge amount of traction over the past year, so much so that the likes of Apple now want in on the market. However, there are often reminders that when things go wrong they have huge consequences.

Fitbit knows just how this feels because they had to come to the decision to issue a Force recall due to some people coming out in a nasty skin rash while wearing their Force wristband.

It’s a huge shame to be forced into doing such a thing, especially when the Fitbit has had positive reviews since its release, as well as strong sales. However, it is worth noting that there have only been a few reported cases of the Force causing skin rashes, yet Fitbit felt it was the correct thing to do by issuing a recall.

You can apply for your full Fitbit Force refund here, but we have to warn that it could take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks to receive your refund. The company has yet to decide what to do, as they could try to overcome the nickel issue, which is what has caused these allergic reactions.

Owners of the current model seem to be demanding a Fitbit Force 2, even though the one they have was only released in October. This could be a very costly decision for Fitbit. Okay, so it would be nice for a newer model, but surely it would be more practical to try to solve the current problem?
