By Matt Tran - Feb 18, 2014

The reviews for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze are in and have been widely positive which will bring joy to Wii U players and even more so, Nintendo. The Wii U has struggled with sales and has been criticized for offering too many cartoon games and not enough serious content, but lets face it Donkey Kong was always going to be a winner.

We have a selected roundup of various reviews from across the web, out of these sites only 2 gave the lowest rating of 6/10 (Gamespot and Shacknews). A score of 7/10 was given by 5 different critics, namely Metro, Eurogamer, GamesTM, NowGamer and Edge. CVG, Gamereactor and God is a Geek each gave the same review rating of 8/10.

Moving into the even higher echelons of critical acclaim with an impressive score of 9/10 we have reviews from IGN, USGamer, Nintendo Life, TheSixthAxis, Nintendo Insider and Gaming Boulevard, only Destructoid were bold enough to rate the game with a perfect score of 10/10. You can see plenty more scores and reviews over on All Games Beta.

We have included 2 contrasting review videos for you below, one from Gamespot who gave one of the more average reviews, and one from GamesRadar who gave a more positive 4/5.
