Battlefield 4 Naval Strike DLC with Titan mode

By Updated on

We have some very good news for Battlefield 4 fans now. Last year we spoke about a possible rumor within DICE, suggesting that the developer could bring back the popular Titan mode from Battlefield 2142.

So far, it obviously hasn’t happened, but we’re pleased to bring you a status update on the situation. Now it looks like Titan is definitely coming to Battlefield 4 and it will be reimagined as ‘Carrier Assault’.

Carrier Assault is going to be a brand new mode that will be coming with the Battlefield 4 Naval Strike DLC – the next expansion pack to release after Battlefield 4 Second Assault.

DICE hasn’t given full details yet, but those of you who enjoyed Titan in Battlefield 2142 can expect to see similar gameplay mechanics. For those that are new to Titan, it essentially revolves around players having to work together to destroy the opposing team’s Titan – whilst defending their own at the same time.

Players had to be very tactical in their approaches to board an opposing team’s Titan and we’re guessing it will work in a similar way with the Titan now becoming giant Carriers.

Aside from this new mode, you should obviously expect new assignments to work through, unlocking new Battlefield 4 Naval Strike weapons in the process. We also have it on good authority that Battlefield 4 Naval Strike vehicles will include the new amphibious hovercraft.

Expect more details when we get it. Let us know if you remember Titan mode and your excitement about it coming to Battlefield 4 with Naval Strike.
