We have some good news for those of you who are looking forward to MWC 2014. The big event is due to start in Barcelona at the end of the month and to prepare in the best way, you may want to consider downloading the free MWC 2014 app for Android and iOS.

MWC 2014 will kick off on February 24 and will last until February 27. It will be the event to witness major new product announcements from all of the big guns, one of which is strongly tipped to include Samsung’s Galaxy S5.

If you are just looking to keep up to date with the latest MWC 2014 news as it happens, or if you are actually planning to head to Barcelona, the app will keep you covered in both aspects.

The MWC 2014 app is available for iOS as well as Android, but it is the latter we want to focus on now as we have discovered one particularly big issue with the app.

The app will let you know how to get food as quick as possible!

Consumers have been complaining that using this app automatically switches on the WiFi connection of your device, which in turn means an unnecessary battery drain.

While this may be ok with some consumers, others have pointed out that the app forces you to use a WiFi connection, even if it is switched off and even if you are not using the MWC 2014 app.

It appears that a recent update to the MWC 2014 app has caused the problems, so hopefully the creators will be able to issue another quick fix to sort out the problem before the event begins.

Have you had any problems with the WiFi being turned on automatically when using the MWC 2014 app? We’ll let you know when a fix is available.
