If you are currently looking for the cheapest car in Canada for 2014, then the new 2015 Nissan Micra would be it. At a price of $9,998 Canadian it is almost $2000 Canadian dollars cheaper than the 2014 Versa Sedan. We know there are cheaper models out there, but these will be second-hand and not brand new like the Micra above.
When you consider getting the 2015 Nissan Micra for that kind of money you have to remember that sacrifices have to be made. One of the main disadvantages is that for the price this will be the base model, and will lack certain refinement, although this might not matter for many of you on a tight budget.
There are to be three 2015 Nissan Micra Models for Canada, these are the S, SV and SR. All trim levels come with a choice of a five-speed manual transmission, or a four-speed automatic transmission.
As for the engine, there is just one available and that is the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 109 horsepower. This makes a perfect vehicle for the city and while it can go on longer runs, it’s not ideal for the family.
The 2015 Nissan Micra is the perfect urban vehicle for Canada and is said to be full of personality. If you are feeling thrifty after spending less than $10,000 Canadian on a new car, then a further $200 will get you different door handle and mirror cap finishes.
What we do find a shame is how the 2015 Nissan Micra is not coming to the U.S. because this would be a more viable option than some of the other small vehicles in the country.
