New stereo headset for Xbox One release soon

Microsoft are preparing a shiny new stereo headset for your Xbox One and it will release soon. The new headset will feature over the ear speakers and an unidirectional microphone, meaning you can now play and communicate in even more style, a separate adapter is also on offer.

This new Xbox One headset looks like a significant upgrade on the Xbox 360 one we all used, for a start it is far sturdier and providers speakers in both ears. With a 20Hz-20kHz audio spectrum you should be able to pick up every sound, enhancing your gaming experience and adding a small advantage. There are no excuses now for letting an enemy sneak up and attack you from behind now.

It has been announced by Microsoft that the headset will launch in early March, no definite release date has been made yet however. The Xbox One accessory will cost you $80/£60, you can also equip yourself with a headset adapter too which will set you back an extra $25/£20. The detachable adapter gives you more control over your audio gaming preferences.

The Stereo Headset Adapter can control the master volume on your mic, mute all sounds and balance the audio levels between chat and game. According to Cnet you can even use the adapter with other compatible headsets and control their functions, all without moving your hands off of your controller.

Will you be upgrading your headset as well as your console?
