After storming to the top of the UK gaming chart last week, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has suffered a crash whilst FIFA 14 has returned to glory. Lara Croft broke FIFA’s dominance and has only managed to hold on for 1 week, with the chart experiencing a mini shake up.
FIFA 14 now spends its 10th week at the top of the UK gaming charts since launch, Tomb Raider disturbed what would have been a consecutive 8 week run. VG247 reports that despite reclaiming top spot, sales were down 22% but it was still enough to raise FIFA 14 back to the top. Regular runner up Call of Duty: Ghosts sits in second as it has done for the last few months.
Fable Anniversary has jumped in at 3rd place ahead of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition which has to settle for 4th, despite last week’s triumph. The action adventure title featuring Lara Croft suffered a slum in sales of 57%, hinting that launch day purchases were good, from then on not so much. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes keeps its consistent position in the chart placed in 5th.
GTA V has made a recovery of sorts, rising up to 6th where it had been placed 9th a few weeks back. Battlefield 4 on the other hand has struggled a little, dropping down to 7th place this week. The Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft sits in 8th ahead of Killzone: Shadow Fall in 9th, completing the top 10 this week is Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
Are you surprised to see Tomb Raider: Definitive edition surrender its place at the top of the chart so meekly?
