Destiny public beta signaled

By Marlon Votta - Feb 7, 2014

Destiny is being regarded as Activision’s biggest new IP launch in the company’s history of video games, which gives us reason to look forward to this upcoming release. As we wait for this hyped title to brace gaming platforms the action RPG/FPS is expected to release on a number of platforms and the Destiny public beta release is expected this summer.

With plenty of screenshots emerging we are eager to experience the vast alien world, while Activision CEO and publishing president Eric Hirshberg feels this game has the potential to become its third billion-dollar franchise. We must admit we were expecting this earlier with a forecast of release previously announced to be early 2014, and CVG discusses Destiny public beta access of this innovative and ambitious game.

Those wanting to know about the Destiny public beta sign-up will be pleased to know the beta is planned for this summer with a scheduled launch of the game expected on the 9th September according to Hirshberg.

Apparently, the team behind this are looking forward to “expanding this universe for years to come,” and we get the impression more will be revealed about the Destiny public beta access in the coming months. Access codes for this beta are currently being sent to customers that reserve the game at specific participating retailers worldwide.

Those in the US can check out retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and Amazon, while UK customers can try Tesco, Amazon, Blockbuster and Smyths. So, are you looking forward to the upcoming Destiny public beta release?
