Strider release date announced for PS4, Xbox One

By Matt Tran - Feb 6, 2014

A Strider release date has been announced by Capcom, with the title coming back in digital form to the PS4, Xbox One, PC and previous gen consoles. Strider will be made available for download on the 19th of February, with the sideroller being developed by Double Helix, the team behind Killer Instinct.

The digital remake of Strider is set to come packed with extra bonus content and two new challenge modes. CVG reports that Survival Mode will test players combat skills against waves of enemies, using a variety of different loadouts and abilities.

The second challenge mode called Beacon Run offers a race like feature which requires players to kill as many foes as possible in the least amount of time, hitting consecutive checkpoints. Challenge Modes and single player story mode are both tracked on the global leaderboards, meaning you can track your achievements and find out your world ranking.

This new Strider game will provide very satisfying combat options with an ultra responsive control system, motion such as running, climbing, hanging and standing should all feel smooth and sharp.

Will you be downloading the Strider remake when it releases on February 19th?
