Captain America: The Winter Soldier gameplay divides fans

After witnessing the latest Captain America Winter Soldier trailer after the Superbowl, interest in the official Captain America: The Winter Soldier game has gone through the roof. That job falls in the hands of Gameloft, who will once again be providing a mobile game for fans to play on Android, Windows Phone and iOS.

Gameloft in charge of another Marvel game though may inflict dividing opinions. There is a well known saying that Marvel games based on movies do not turn out very well and we’re yet to be treated to an excellent Marvel game in years.

If it was down to us, we would be knocking on the doors of Marvel and begging them to make Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for Xbox One and PS4 – that franchise surely has to be one of the most popular with fans.

Gameloft’s latest effort is a comic-book style adventure, allowing you to play as Cap and fight your way through enemies in search of the Winter Soldier, as well as other ‘famous Marvel villains’.

The game will feature a multiplayer element too, with Gameloft promising a healthy clan and league environment for those that want to add the competitive spirit to the game.

Based on this initial gameplay, we’re not sure if this is the Captain America game that fans want to see. Having said that, we haven’t had a chance to get to grips with the game fully – hopefully we we be able to bring you a preview soon.

Feedback over on YouTube suggests that fans are divided over the game as well. Take a look at the debut trailer below and let us know if this game interests you.
