The price of the Cadillac ELR has always been a bit of a thorny issue because it was never intended for the entry-level market, and so many people who wanted a vehicle with more luxury had a dilemma on their hands Do they make a few sacrifices in order to get the ELR, or would they rather save more and put the extra to getting an even better luxury vehicle?
However, Cadillac has a new incentive that might be able to alleviate the price dilemma, and that is by offering a 240-Volt Level 2 home-charging station for free, which also comes with installation as well.
We know that what you would rather see is the Cadillac ELR price reduced by several thousand dollars, but the cost of the charging station and installation would cost around $1,000, so not a bad incentive.
It is the hope of Cadillac that this enticement will make potential buyers go for the ELR over the Tesla Model S, but that is a big ask considering the latter model is far more desirable, although this does depend on personal taste.
Cadillac has not said how long this offer will last, but it’s more than likely just a limited offer and so if you have been mulling over the idea of getting an ELR, then you had best make your mind up soon.
For those of you who are having a hard time coming to a decision, then watch the Cadillac ELR review video below. This will give you a better understanding of many of the most important aspects of the car, such as the ELR range, specs and features and so much more.
However, there is still no getting over the elephant in the room, which is the Cadillac ELR price, which is $75,995. If you feel as though you do not want to purchase one, then you do have the option of leasing one for 39 months at a cost of $99 per month, as well as a one-off fee of $5,999 upon signing up.
