Battlefield 4 Appreciation, Asia Premium joy

By Updated on

We have a great update to give you on Battlefield 4 now, as it looks like DICE are looking to say thank you to the community for their support since launch. The game hasn’t had a perfect launch as we all know, but DICE are looking to make amends with the Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month.

If you have stopped playing the game for whatever reason, we can tell you that February will be the month to definitely start playing again. DICE will be giving away all sorts of treats as way of thank you, including free bronze and silver battlepacks, as well as double XP weekends.

Perhaps more importantly for those that have only just started playing, we can confirm that DICE will introduce some shortcut bundles to the game as well, allowing beginners to unlock all grenades and handguns if they are in need of catching up to the ‘pros’.

It sounds like a great way to boost up server numbers, so make sure you check out the full list of treats that are coming over at the Battlefield Blog.

Meanwhile, we have an important update for our friends in Asia regarding the Battlefield 4 Premium upgrade program. As some of you may be aware, players initially had to pay twice for the feature during the PS3-to-PS4 switch – an issue that obviously didn’t happen with the US or EU launch.

Thankfully, we’re glad to say that Sony has issued an update on the matter, confirming on their blog that all Asia Battlefield 4 players will be able to upgrade to Premium for free if they already have it on PS3.

Sony Asia has added that emails with redeem codes are going to be sent out to ‘eligible players’, so let us know below if you have received anything from them on this matter.

So there we have it, some excellent news for Battlefield 4 players around the globe. How is your experience with the game so far? We’re looking forward to bringing you some more intricate details on the game soon.
